The event reunited university representatives, families, and students, strengthened college counseling practices, and opened new doors for students and educators.

On April 12, School of the Nations welcomed counselors, educators, university representatives, students, and families to the main campus for the IC3 Regional Forum 2025, marking the first time the school has hosted this global event.

The IC3 Regional Forum, an initiative of the International Career and College Counseling (IC3) Movement, brought together more than 100 participants for a day of events focused on learning, exchange, and community-building. As part of a global effort to empower schools in guiding students toward meaningful higher education and career paths, the IC3 Movement is supported by a dedicated network of over 1,400 volunteers across the world.

Throughout the day, the forum offered workshops tailored to college and career counselors, addressing emerging trends and best practices in the field. Sessions included emerging topics such as "Counseling as a Culture," "Navigating Change: Best Practices in College Counseling," and "Self-Regulation in Educators." These discussions provided valuable insights and practical strategies for professionals seeking to expand and elevate their work in student guidance.

One of the forum’s most anticipated events was the University Fair, which brought together representatives from over 20 institutions across the United States, Europe, Australia, Canada, and Brazil and welcomed more than 100 participants, including students and families. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, gather materials, and receive personalized advice on international admissions processes, academic programs, and budgets, making it an enriching experience for all involved.

For Ms. Michelle Ray, the event’s coordinator and Nations’ High School College Counselor, the day was both successful and meaningful.

“The event was very fulfilling! It was awesome to see our community supporting the event and coming to see the universities. We had students not only attending the fair but also helping, so they could benefit as students in both ways. Seeing and encountering so many people together and creating this space for networking and learning was honestly very rewarding. My goal when hosting this event was exactly that: to help people discover Nations, spread the word about what we do here, and offer our space as a bridge for meaningful conversations in the college counseling field.”

Hosting the IC3 Regional Forum reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the wider educational community in Brasília and beyond. The school is proud to contribute to the advancement of college and career counseling practices, ensuring that more students have access to the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive.
