Families, students, and staff come together for the first event of the school year with sports, cultural, and musical activities.

On Saturday, August 23, the main campus welcomed another edition of Community Building Day, the first event of the school year and a cherished Nations tradition. The event brings families, students, and staff together for a special morning of connection, fun, and well-being.
This year’s schedule featured activities from the After School Program, including Collective Yoga, Gymnastics Workshop, Beach Volleyball, Beach Tennis, and Circus Workshop. Each activity was designed to bring together people of different ages and encourage a healthy, active lifestyle in line with the values we uphold.
In addition to these activities, the event included exclusive partnerships that added even more energy and excitement to the day. Velocity Lago Sul Academy led a Velocity Kore class, while the Ritmos Dance Academy engaged the community with Jazz Funk and Bachata classes. Both experiences were unique opportunities for families to enjoy and learn something new together.
Parents also had a dedicated space for learning and reflection. Our High School counselor, Mr. João Diniz, led the workshop “Self-Regulation and Self-Awareness in Parenting”, offering practical strategies to strengthen self-regulation in daily life and to enhance parent-child relationships.
The morning also featured live music. The band Trio Musical delighted the audience with a special performance, and the open stage welcomed community members to share their favorite songs in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Community Building Day once again brought the school community together through meaningful experiences that strengthen bonds and celebrate diverse talents. More than just an event, it was a reminder of the value of togetherness, friendship, and the joy of being part of a community.
