With a focus on continuity and collaboration, the week fostered dialogue and the development of a shared vision for the second semester.

From January 14 to 20, School of the Nations brought its educators together for the second Pedagogical Week of the 2025–26 academic year. The event included coordinators, teachers, monitors, and administrative staff, all united by a common goal: to collaboratively plan an inspiring and successful second semester for students.
Designed as a strategic moment for reflection and preparation, Pedagogical Week created space for professional dialogue, the alignment of practices, and the organization of projects that will guide the coming months.
This edition of Pedagogical Week introduced a distinctive and intentional approach: all activities were conducted without the use of electronic devices. According to Mr. Keith Ray, our Chief Teaching and Learning Officer, recent research on Artificial Intelligence (AI) indicates that when initial thinking is directed toward AI, it can negatively impact content understanding, critical thinking, and the ability to engage in meaningful dialogue.
By setting aside digital tools, participants were encouraged to engage in deeper conversations, strengthen professional relationships, and collaborate through active listening and collective idea-building.

In addition, Mr. Ray emphasized that collaboration and continuity are central pillars of the school’s educational philosophy.
“At Nations, we focus on building a shared understanding of what high-quality learning looks like,” he said. “This allows us to create common knowledge across all school sections, ensuring that our educational practices are aligned and meaningful for students.”
By prioritizing human connection, intentional planning, and a shared educational language, Pedagogical Week reaffirmed Nations' commitment to continuous improvement and holistic learning. As the second semester begins, the school community moves forward aligned, motivated, and focused on providing high-quality learning experiences for all students.
