Brazil’s largest MUN conference welcomed over 400 students, including five from the School of the Nations

From March 19 to 22, five students from the School of the Nations took part in BRAMUN 2025, held at the Costa do Sauípe Resort in Salvador, Bahia. Representing the school with distinction, they joined hundreds of students from across Brazil in a national simulation of the United Nations.
Now in its 22nd edition, the Brazil Model United Nations (BRAMUN) continues to empower students from over 20 schools by inviting them to engage in debates and simulations that mirror real-world global diplomacy. Organized annually since 2002, BRAMUN has established itself as the leading MUN conference in Brazil, providing a unique opportunity for students to step into the shoes of diplomats, historians, politicians, and journalists.
This year’s conference featured a variety of committees, from traditional UN bodies like the Human Rights and Security Councils to imaginative forums such as the Interplanetary Council and The War Committee, as well as the Press Corps. Over the course of the weekend, students were challenged to navigate pressing global issues, negotiate solutions, and deliver speeches.
Representing Nations were Middle School students Fernando Falcão, Pedro Rosas, Lucas Melo, and Sérgio Daher (all Grade 8), alongside High School student Mathias Cressmeyer (Grade 9). Each took on a delegate role within one of the many councils, embracing the complexities of diplomacy and international relations.
Through this immersive experience, our students strengthened a range of essential skills. From public speaking and argumentation to English fluency and intercultural dialogue, BRAMUN provided an academic environment that also encouraged personal growth, building confidence, resilience, and lifelong friendships.
By taking part in transformative events like BRAMUN, Nations reinforces its commitment to educational excellence. Experiences like these empower students to follow their aspirations—academic or professional—with knowledge, purpose, and global awareness.
