Elementary students participate in group dynamics, class meetings, and partnerships with high school students to discuss bullying-related issues
Since March 6, Elementary students have been participating in Bullying Prevention Week. Our counselors and the Elementary Learning Support Team have prepared group dynamics, class meetings, and partnerships with high school students to discuss the subject. We aim to get students thinking about solutions and learning how to avoid and deal with bullying. Until March 17, they will continue participating in these activities.
Throughout the month, class representatives from Grades 2 through 5 participated in meetings with Ms. Ana Dalmaschio to discuss respectful and reasonable solutions to class problems. With the help of our high school counselor, Mr. João Diniz, students in Grades 9 through 12 wrote letters about how to deal with bullying and delivered them to elementary students. Their goal was to give tips and guidance on how to avoid bullying from an early age.
Preventing bullying starts by teaching students about empathy, tolerance, and acceptance. As world citizens, our students learn to recognize the signs, intervene when necessary, and promote a culture of respect and kindness.
