For many years, the populations of Saracá, Ilha da Paciência, Iranduba and Açatuba, in Amazonas, have hosted participants in the Amazon Crossing Expeditions—a service project that allows students from our school to learn about the lifestyle and the values of indigenous and riverside communities of the Amazon region. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, these communities have been enduring several facets of hardship, with many families losing their loved ones and others struggling to tend to their most basic needs.
We invite you to collaborate in a joint effort to raise funds to provide some relief to these communities. You can contribute any amount of R$10 or more, which will be used to purchase food baskets and other essential items for the families in need.
All contributions must be made in cash and can be delivered to the Moral Education & Global Citizenship Coordinator, Mr. Anis Sami, at the Main Campus. For the Early Childhood families, we will set up a donation stand at the ECE reception. At the end of the project, a single bank deposit will be made so that the coordinators of the Amazon Crossing Expeditions can purchase the items and have them distributed to the families.
As a token of gratitude, you will receive a very special gift: a hand sanitizer (alcohol gel) + liquid soap kit, prepared by students from all sections at our very own School Factory. Please fill out the form below if you would like to contribute and we will make the arrangements for you to pick up your kit.
